I am looking for a tablet to buy and I like both but I don’t want to buy a really expensive iPad 2 if the Kindle Fire can offer most of the same things at a much cheaper price. Which one is better for their price?

    Kindle Fire
Pro. Excellent price. Nice screen. Vast content available, includes built-in music and movie stores. Free cloud storage for Amazon content.
Con. A little sluggish. Modest onboard storage. No microphone, camera or 3G.

The Kindle Fire is a tablet Lite. It lacks many of the hardware features the iPad has, plus has a lesser CPU and GPU, and smaller screen.

You can get non Apple (mostly Android) 10" or 7" tablets that are feature close to the iPad 2, at a couple hundred less.

The kindle fire at best buy or anywhere except for used kindle fires is 200 dollars. The ipad 2 at bestbuy is 400 dollars.

The kindle fire can pretty much do everything the ipad 2 can except for the ipad 2 has a camera and microphone. So for the kindle fire being able to do everything the ipad can for less I would go with a kindle fire. You might want to wait for the kindle fire 2 (original kindle fire) to come out in July. Its going to be bigger better and only 100 more dollars. Or you migght want to wait for the nexus 7 to come out in July also but be 200 dollars.
