    No, it means you can use it with any compatible provider. You still need to subscribe to 3G service from that provider to use anywhere. It will still work from WiFi if you choose not to subscribe to 3G service.

    Wow, congrats! 3G refers to a subscription internet service, like you would purchase through AT&T. "Unlocked" just means you can go to any provider that offers 3G Internet for iPad. Some companies might have better deals than others. It sounds like you would have to set that up yourself, though. You can still connect to wi-fi for free!
