Apple just said it plans on having a special event to announce the iPad mini on October 23rd. It looks as if it will be $300. Will it be worth it. I have a $100 gamestop giftcard and could pay for some of it myself, but a i already have an ipod touch. Regular iPad is too expensive for me.

it will be bare bones so i wouldn’t invest in it.
It depends on the specs but personally speaking, I’m looking forward to it as it shows flexibility on part of Apple to consider a smaller form factor. I’ve always wanted something that’s larger than a smartphone but smaller than an iPad. The iPad Mini seems like it fits in that space. Besides, compared to other tablet devices, the iPad has been more secure.
